WSQA is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that operates with a part time director and over 200 volunteers. Our volunteers represent health care, education, manufacturing, governmental services and small and large service organizations from Washington, Oregon, California, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri and South Carolina, and make up the Board of Directors, examiners, mentors, and panel of judges. This core group of volunteers makes it possible for WSQA to be a successful program.

WSQA conducts third party assessments for applicant organizations.  The assessments are conducted by examiner teams and provide detailed feedback by evaluating 1) organizational approaches (processes); 2) the extent to which the approaches are deployed, evaluated/improved, aligned and integrated throughout the organization; and 3) their effectiveness at driving organizational results.

The Washington State Quality Award is awarded to organizations that have demonstrated exceptional performance excellence. These organizations are seen as models for organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest and the nation who seek outstanding results.
